Interactive audiovisual installation, 2021.

Collision was created as part of WARPJAM, a 48-hour hackathon dedicated to creative technology held at WARP Technopolis, in collaboration with Bas Arkes and Deev Bennes.

Participants were allocated 48 hours to develop a concept, build their projects, and showcase their work. The project involved experimenting with generative sound, generative visuals, and a quadraphonic arrangement.

Generative visuals were created in TouchDesigner and pushed to Resolume through NDI. Additional visuals and video mixing effects were added in Resolume. Generative sound was created using VCV Rack, a software modular synthesizer. An Xbox controller was mapped to various sound effects in VCV Rack and effects in Resolume, allowing each unique combination of button presses to trigger a visual scene.

By pressing unique combinations, viewers could create a bespoke audiovisual landscape, creating a personalized sensorial experience. The concept pivoted on the idea of translating one's emotions into a machine, capable of visually and audibly rendering them.
